About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The position is in Ypsilanti, Michigan, with per diem day or night shifts available and a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. Compensation is $55.00 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The hospital offers an extensive RN orientation program and the possibility of advancement to a full-time opportunity.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Document information accurately and promptly using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
