Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room
About The Position
The Registered Nurse administers direct and indirect nursing care to an assigned group of patients scheduled for surgical procedures in the Short Stay Unit. The RN performs assessment, intervention, evaluation, and teaching related to the surgical procedure. The RN provides patient-focused care as part of a multidisciplinary team, based on national standards and using the nursing process, while functioning within the Nurse Practice Act and other regulating bodies. The RN also participates in process improvement, professional education, committees, and meetings to maintain competence and advance the mission and values of Good Samaritan Medical Center, and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- PALS certification within one year of hire.
- One year of Medical-Surgical Nursing experience.
