About The Position

Provide, promote, and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with other multidisciplinary health care providers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which the candidate resides. Candidates holding an RN license from another Compact state must apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification, to be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification, required within the orientation period.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in surgical care as a technician or nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients as an ongoing process using physician and psychosocial input, and document assessments in the chart.
• Perform patient interventions completely and proficiently, demonstrating age-specific competency for the patient population served.
• Verify orders for accuracy during hospitalization, including medication reconciliation, appropriate scheduling of tests and procedures, pre-operative data, and consent forms.
• Follow medication and IV therapy policies, including patient identification, medication understanding and administration, and recognizing and reporting interactions.
• Monitor first-dose medications appropriately for adverse reactions.
• Interpret diagnostic data and take appropriate action when indicated, including notifying physicians of critical lab values according to hospital protocol.
• Perform related duties as required.
