About The Position

The RN Clinical Float Pool assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care according to the organization’s established patient care standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer. The role requires flexibility to float to departments and sites throughout the organization’s markets, based on the hiring tier and demonstrated competency. Assignments may involve day-of staffing, more than one location during a shift, travel assignments, or seasonal staffing patterns. The nurse participates as a member of the healthcare team in cooperation with and under the direction of a clinical manager or designee, as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses. The nurse supports organizational and departmental goals through quality improvement and departmental activities, advocates for patient safety, and incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
