About The Position

Juniper Communities is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 17-bed short-term skilled unit within its community. The role assists with day-to-day community operations to support residents’ functional ability, safety, and overall wellbeing. The RN continually assesses residents, coordinates communication among residents, families, and team members, completes required documentation, and supports supervision and teamwork within the Wellness Department. The position is full-time, works 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., and requires every other weekend.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Knowledge of applicable governmental regulations.
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.

Nice To Haves

• Current BLS certification.
• Previous management experience in a healthcare or service-related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident safety in a 17-bed facility by continually assessing residents for changes in condition, mood, behavior, or level of function.
• Implement appropriate interventions to maintain residents’ highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing.
• Act as a liaison between residents, family members, and other team members to maintain effective communication and appropriate care.
• Make written and oral reports to the leadership team and complete assigned paperwork in compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Help establish rapport and maintain teamwork throughout the Wellness Department.
• Assist with ongoing supervision, oversight, and delegation within the Wellness Department, including training, disciplining, counseling, motivating, and evaluating.
