About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent treatment throughout patients’ recovery. This is a full-time night-shift position in Belhaven, Mississippi, with 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification is required at hire.
• ACLS certification is required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
