About The Position

Summit Oaks Hospital, a 126-bed, private acute care hospital and chemical dependency treatment center, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Full Time position. This role involves working 7 am - 7 pm, 3 days a week, for a total of 36 hours per week. The position offers the opportunity to cover various shifts and pick up overtime. Summit Oaks Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and has been providing quality healthcare since 1902. It has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation's best behavioral health hospitals. This position qualifies for a $12,000 Sign-on Bonus.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey RN licensure
• Minimum of one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience, or two (2) years of medical/surgical experience with proven leadership, strong clinical skills, and high motivation.
• CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN/BS preferred.
• Graduate of NLN accredited program preferred.
• ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to medical needs of patients under the guidance of the physicians.
• Conduct safety checks and implement appropriate behavioral management techniques.
• Monitor, report, and document patient behaviors and overall well being.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as needed under the guidance of treatment team.
• Maintain the core values and mission of Summit Oaks Hospital.
