About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and help implement and evaluate each patient’s plan of care in collaboration with physicians, a preceptor, and the interdisciplinary team. This full-time new graduate position is based in Evansville, Indiana, and offers 12-hour day or night shifts. New graduate nurses complete a structured 10–13-week orientation program with a dedicated preceptor. Applicants may apply before obtaining a nursing license but must be licensed by their start date. Compensation starts at $37.33 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
Valid state RN license required by the start date; applicants may apply before being licensed.
BLS certification required at hire.
Flexibility of scheduling to complete the program requirements.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the physician and preceptor, assure implementation of the patient assessment plan and evaluation and follow-up of the plan of care.
Conduct ongoing systematic assessments of patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs.
Interpret assessment data to develop a nursing care plan, including problem identification, nursing diagnoses and orders, approaches, interventions, goals, and discharge planning.
Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation goals.
Ensure medical record documents are complete, factual, accurate, and timely.
