Registered Nurse (RN) GYN PACU PRN Night Shift
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Women’s PACU is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PRN night-shift position. The department has 32 bays and provides preoperative and post-anesthesia care for patients undergoing general gynecology, gynecological oncology, urogynecology, and robotic procedures. The unit cares for an average of 30 patients per day, approximately 75% of whom are discharged home the same day. Patient acuity ranges from benign procedures to extensive oncology cases. The PRN position requires a minimum of 48 hours per six-week schedule and includes weekends and holidays. Requirements
- At least one year of PACU or critical care (ICU/ED) RN experience, or completion of a critical care or PACU fellowship.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. Nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must complete a BSN within five years of hire.
- American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Provider.
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice, in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Proficiency in English and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum availability of 48 hours per six-week schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
