Registered Nurse (RN) PACU PRN
About The Position
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a PRN, as-needed schedule. The role covers shifts from 0545 to 1815, with one shift per week and two on-call shifts per six-week schedule required. The hospital’s Pre-op unit has 20 bays and operates daily from 0545 to 1815. Its 26-bay PACU operates Monday through Friday from 0730 to 2230 and supports a comprehensive range of surgical specialties, including spine, joint replacement, retina, breast, gynecology, general surgery, and bariatric weight loss. The hospital performs more than 10,000 surgical cases annually and uses advanced surgical technologies. Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is a 182-bed acute care community hospital in western Fairfax County, serving the rapidly growing suburbs of Northern Virginia. It is nationally recognized for spine surgery and hip and knee replacement surgery, with The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval™.
Requirements
- One year of PACU or critical care nursing experience (ICU or ED) is required.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. Nurses with an Associate’s Degree (ADN) must complete a BSN within five years of their start date.
- Current RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Work one shift per week and two on-call shifts per six-week schedule.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of PACU experience, including PreOp and phase 1 and 2 recovery experience.
