About The Position

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a PRN, as-needed schedule. The role covers 0545–1815, with one shift per week and two on-call shifts required per six-week schedule. The hospital’s Pre-op unit has 20 bays and operates daily from 0545–1815. The 26-bay PACU operates Monday through Friday from 0730–2230 and supports surgical specialties including spine, joint replacement, retina, breast, gynecology, general, and bariatric weight loss. The hospital performs more than 10,000 surgical cases annually and uses advanced technologies including Stryker Mako Robotic-Assisted Joint Procedures, Globus Excelsius Robotic Spine Navigation Platform, OrthAlign Precision Navigation, and Medtronic StealthStation Navigation. The units have on-call coverage from 2000–0730 Monday through Friday, as well as on weekends and holidays. Requirements

One year of PACU or critical-care nursing experience, including ICU or ED, is required.
A BSN from an accredited school of nursing is required. Nurses with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing must complete a BSN within five years of their start date.
An RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
