About The Position

The registered nurse in the Main PACU provides care for patients of all ages, from infancy through geriatric care, using the nursing process as the framework. The role is responsible for care consistent with Kentucky nursing laws and organizational policies and procedures, and supports positive patient outcomes and quality patient care.

The nurse uses critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and appropriate nursing judgment guided by national professional nursing standards. The role collaborates with the inter-professional team, contributes to a healthy professional practice environment, and participates in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils to support change. The nurse also serves as a role model through continuous professional development and lifelong learning.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN license.
• BCLS required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous PACU or critical care experience is strongly desired.
