About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Main PACU Surgery implements the nursing process for patients of all ages, from infancy through geriatric care, and is responsible for care consistent with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and quality patient care, contributes to a healthy professional practice environment, and initiates change through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils.

Using National Professional Nursing Standards as guidelines, the nurse applies critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and appropriate nursing judgment; collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes; and serves as a role model through continuous professional development and lifelong learning. The Nursing Process is the framework for providing care. This is a part-time position scheduled for 24 hours weekly on the night shift.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN License.
• BCLS required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous PACU or Critical Care experience is strongly desired.
