Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Psychiatric Hospital
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based adult psychiatric team. The RN uses specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, communicate with colleagues, and have support for professional development. Navos, part of MultiCare’s Behavioral Health Network, provides comprehensive behavioral health care, including inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment, and community-based programs for people of all ages. The position is 0.6 FTE, working nights for 24 hours per week in 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
