About The Position

This professional nursing role provides care in urgent care and other outpatient settings. The nurse uses the nursing process to assess patient concerns, identify problems, analyze subjective and objective information, determine and carry out an appropriate plan of care, and evaluate outcomes. The role involves working with patients alongside other health professionals and exercising accountability and responsibility for nursing practice.

The position works 70 hours per two weeks, including every other weekend, on a day/evening rotation. The nurse is required to work at all Twin Ports Urgent Care sites. Duties include triage, assessments, patient education, managing the in-basket, assisting with patient rooming as needed, and administering medications.

Requirements

• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to become certified within three months of hire.
• Wisconsin RN license required within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and patient assessments.
• Provide patient education.
• Manage the in-basket.
• Assist with rooming patients as needed.
• Administer medications.
• Use the nursing process to assess concerns, identify problems, analyze data, plan and provide interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Work at all Twin Ports Urgent Care sites.
