About The Position

ConvenientMD is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role includes patient triage, assisting providers with examinations and procedures, performing clinical interventions, administering medications and immunizations, processing prescriptions, and communicating with patients about follow-up care and test results. Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• State-licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• Prior experience placing and monitoring IVs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; CPR, ACLS, and online-only classes are not accepted.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts; full-time availability requires three shifts per week and at least four Saturday or Sunday shifts per month.
• Ability to travel to at least three other ConvenientMD locations within a one-hour travel distance if needed, and to travel for training shifts within a one-hour commute.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Proactive, confident written and verbal communication skills, including raising concerns as they arise.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and experience with or ability to learn Experity and other business systems.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs.
• Assist with patient examinations by preparing equipment and documentation and supporting providers during testing and procedures.
• Perform blood draws and phlebotomy while following safety protocols.
• Provide airway support, including nebulizer therapy, oral suctioning, placement of oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal airways, oxygen therapy, and AMBU bag ventilation.
• Provide cardiac care by applying 12-lead ECGs, performing CPR in emergencies, and using an AED for defibrillation when required.
• Administer immunizations and medications according to the registered nurse scope of practice and applicable protocols.
• Process and call in prescriptions to patients’ requested pharmacies in accordance with provider instructions.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls, respond to care-plan inquiries, explain test results, and discuss changes in medication or therapy.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients so they feel informed and supported.
• Coordinate patient care with clinical team members and communicate patient information and updates to providers and other healthcare professionals.
• Welcome and support the training of new clinic team members.
• Work 12-hour shifts according to the selected employment schedule, including required weekend shifts, and maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel to other ConvenientMD clinics within a one-hour travel distance when needed and travel for training shifts that may take place outside the primary clinic.
