About The Position

Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital at Lutheran Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide care in its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The hospital cares for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The schedule is days, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including every third weekend. Compensation is up to $49.00 per hour, with competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends, and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.

Clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers.
Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
