At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice, the goal is to change expectations for hospice care by providing exceptional care and service to patients. The company supports higher staff-to-patient ratios, increased clinical visits, and lower clinician caseloads, and is a Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP)-certified hospice. The Registered Nurse provides care and services to a group of hospice patients, visiting them where they reside, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. The RN completes hospice admissions and patient visits as needed, answers calls from patients, families, and customers, and makes nursing visits for symptom management, deaths, and admissions. This after-hours, on-call position follows a schedule of seven days/nights on and seven days/nights off. The RN advocates for hospice services and Suncrest Hospice and works closely with patients while receiving support from the patient care team.
