Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Registered Nurse provides compassionate care and treatment to patients during recovery. This is a per-diem/PRN role in Evansville, Indiana, with AM and PM positions available and 12-hour shifts. The minimum per-diem requirement is four shifts in a six-week period. The employer offers an extensive RN orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Compensation is $47 per hour, with eligibility for night and weekend shift differentials, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Valid state Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification required at hire.
- ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
