About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital - Hampton Roads is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care throughout patients’ recovery. This full-time day position is located in Newport News, Virginia, and pays $40.85–$55 per hour, plus shift differentials. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements
- Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification required at hire.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
