About The Position

Texas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its outpatient Wound Care/Hyperbaric Clinic at Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth, Texas. This full-time, day-shift role provides wound care in an outpatient setting and uses the Nursing Process and evidence-based practice to deliver services. The nurse collaborates with team members and other care providers, supports patients and families through teaching and discharge instructions, and coordinates referrals and supply needs. The clinic offers self-scheduling, educational and career growth opportunities, and a supportive team environment.

Requirements

Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
One year of experience as a registered nurse.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
Current BLS certification before providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Experience in an outpatient wound care setting and/or inpatient wound care preferred.
One of the following certifications preferred: CHRN (Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse), CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse), CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse), or CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse); 12 months is indicated for each certification.

Responsibilities

Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
Provide wound care in an outpatient setting.
Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.
Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.
Provide patient and family teaching and discharge instructions, and coordinate referrals and supply needs.
Use evidence-based practice to administer wound care services.
