Requirements
- current state RN license
- associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
- BSN or completion within five years
- trauma nurse education
- Minimum of three years of Emergency nursing
- CEN, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
Nice To Haves
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate-- Independently evaluates and determines work assignments and evaluates job performance, recognizes performances.
- Assigns and Directs Work—Covers call-offs, adjusts schedule as needed.
- Adjusts Grievances-- Meets with employees to listen to and resolve employee issues and grievance.
- Discipline-- Implements performance improvements including verbal counseling.
- Exercises Supervisory Authority-- Develops and implements department and/or hospital policy; insures all employees are trained in policy; exercises discretion, independent of policy to insure proper function of department or subdepartment.
- Supervise staff delivering patient care within Emergency Services.
