Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU/CICU
About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based PICU/CICU team in Tacoma, Washington. The RN will use specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide pediatric care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making and work in an environment focused on open communication, professional development, and supporting the future of nursing. The role is scheduled for 0.75 FTE, with 12-hour day shifts and alternating weekends. CICU experience is preferred, ideally more than two years, but is not required.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
- CICU experience, ideally greater than two years.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating it on an ongoing basis.
- Deliver nursing care using nursing education and experience, the nursing process, and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
