About The Position

This is a fast-paced Operating Room (OR) Circulating Nurse position. The RN will tend to the health and care of the patient in the operating room, acting as a circulator on assigned cases. The role requires maintaining patient safety through surveillance of all practices in the operating suite. Strong orthopedic and spine experience is a must.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse license by the State of Indiana
• Current Healthcare BLS & ACLS certification (ACLS certification must be obtained within department guidelines)
• Three (3) or more years O.R. nurse experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN)
• Three (3) or more years O.R. nurse experience
• Certified Nurse of the Operating Room (CNOR)
• Orthopedic, Spine experience

Responsibilities

• Planning and administering the nursing care needs and activities on the operative patient.
• Maintaining aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
• Coordinating the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
