Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Med SurgTelemetry (Days) Windsor VT
About The Position
This is a temporary Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse position. The nurse will coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. The EMR system used is Cerner. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4/5, with an average daily patient census of 22. This is a small community without public transport, so the traveler must have their own vehicle. Orientation is 8 hours non-billable. Call-back, Holiday, and OT multipliers are 1.25%. Call pay is $4/hour and charge pay is $3/hour. The position requires the traveler to float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg, and to any unit within their scope of practice. Block scheduling will not be considered. A 48-hour guarantee is not available. Call is required for this need. The facility has a 3-strike rule for call-offs, which can lead to contract termination. Each call-off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance.
Requirements
- 2 years recent Med Surg & Rehab experience
- Charge RN experience
- Previous Travel (at least 3 months)
- Vermont RN License or Compact
- Active American Heart Association BLS
- Active American Heart Association ACLS
- Must have own vehicle
- Perm address must be included in traveler profile
- Any/All RTO must be included in profile
- ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION
- Skills Checklist Medical Surgical (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
- At least 1 Supervisory-Signed Reference from within the past two years of employment
