About The Position

This is an adaptive acuity unit where travelers may be asked to provide PCU care with a 3:1 ratio. This care is non-negotiable and cannot be refused. Drip experience is required, specifically with Insulin, Esmolol, and Sodium drips. Charge nurse experience is mandatory for this position. A 48-hour guarantee is not available. Travelers are expected to work two blocks of holidays if scheduled/needed: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after, and New Year Eve through New Year Day and the weekend after. Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment. The permanent address must be included in the profile, and any/all requested time off (RTO) must be included in the profile. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission, as the facility will not approve requests at or after the time of offer/interview. Non-billable orientation is 0 hours. Overtime (OT) has no multiplier and will be paid at the regular rate. Call and call-back are not applicable. The charge nurse rate is $3/hour.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of CURRENT med surg/tele experience
  • CHARGE EXPERIENCE [REQUIRED]
  • Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience [Strongly REQUIRED]
  • DRIP EXPERIENCE IS [REQUIRED]
  • ICU experience [strongly preferred]
  • MINIMUM 3 months previous travel experience [REQUIRED] - NON-NEGOTIABLE
  • Vermont RN License or Compact
  • Active American Heart Association BLS
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS
  • Work History

Responsibilities
