Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor and Delivery Unit, as well as circulate the OBED. This role will be Full-time Night Shift: 5 shifts per two weeks: 3x12 hour shifts one week, and 2x12 hour shifts the second week. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible. This is a 0.75 FTE. Requirements
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license

- Two years of recent inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) experience on a Labor and Delivery Unit.

- Serves as a clinical resource, preceptor, and mentor, and supervises patient care activities.
- Utilizes care delivery standards, integrating communication, technology, and collaboration.
- Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains Continuing Education Records.
- Contributes to performance improvement initiatives and evaluates clinical outcomes.
