About The Position

Vantage Point Behavioral Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Admissions/Intake professional to facilitate admissions, clinical intake assessments, and utilization review processes. The role helps ensure continuity of care at the most appropriate level and supports effective use of patient benefits and resources. The facility is a 114-bed, Joint Commission-accredited behavioral health center serving children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The posting contains conflicting shift information: its role heading describes full-time nights with 12-hour shifts, including some weekend shifts, while the overview calls the position full-time day shift. The RN reviews referrals and medical records, performs medication reconciliation and assessments, coordinates with physicians and other facility personnel, and guides patients through admission and consent procedures. The role also supports insurance verification and pre-authorization, tracks referrals using web-based programs, communicates anticipated admissions, and arranges appropriate follow-up for individuals who are not admitted. Patient safety, professional and empathetic service, and compliance with facility policies and physician orders are central to the position. Team members use Personal Panic Alarm devices throughout clinical and non-clinical areas for immediate support when needed. Benefits are offered through Acadia Healthcare, and training for required CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification is available upon hire.
