About The Position

Registered Nurse, PCU in Utica, New York, United States. Start date 09/14/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,258-$2,315 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed). Work in a hospital setting within an IMCU/PCU unit, caring for adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory needs.

Requirements

Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; all RN licenses must be active; license address must match demographics; RTO must be included at submission.
Certification: current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Experience: 2+ years in IMCU/PCU; includes travel experience.
EMR: EPIC experience required.
Education: RN licensure required; able to work in a fast-paced adult-acuity setting.
Additional: Ability to float to other units as needed; valid for Utica, NY assignment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in IMCU/PCU, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory cases; manage COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, and post-operative conditions.
Monitor patient status, administer medications and IV therapies, titrate drips per orders, and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans as needed.
Operate specialty equipment as applicable (temp pacer, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo) and coordinate with respiratory therapy for vent management and weaning when appropriate.
Document thoroughly in the EPIC electronic medical record, perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update care plans, and communicate changes to the interprofessional team.
Provide patient and family education, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure safe transitions of care.
Be prepared to float to other units as assigned and respond to emergencies to maintain patient safety and care quality.
