About The Position

Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients. High acuity of PCU and small amount of med surg. 18J is a 36 bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care. Pediatric patients are cared for on this unit but are extremely rare and would likely be cared for by perm staff. Pediatric experience is NOT required to be agency RN here. High acuity PCU patient experience - Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.

Requirements

• Overall 2 years of acute care nursing exp, with atleast 1 year of PCU experience
• Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Nice To Haves

• ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
• Pediatric experience is NOT required to be agency RN here.
• Previous travel experience preferred.

• Phlebotomy
• Chemotherapy Administration
• Monitoring Chemotherapy
• Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Arterial line management
• Surgical drains
• Non-invasive airway management
