About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/step-down setting in Concord, New Hampshire. The assignment is for a 13-week duration, starting on 10/19/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care to adults, monitoring their condition, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record is essential, along with adherence to patient safety and infection control standards. The nurse may also be required to float to nearby units as needed.

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or a compact license valid for NH (NURSYS verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications current
• 2+ years of recent PCU/step-down or comparable adult inpatient experience
• EMR experience; Cerner experience preferred but not required
• Skills checklist specific to PCU specialty; ability to work 12-hour night shifts and travel assignments
• Up-to-date resume including travel experience; RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults in the PCU/step-down setting, including monitoring clinical status and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments; assess and document patient responses
• Monitor vital signs, labs, imaging results, and hemodynamic status; assist with invasive procedures as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans; participate in rounds and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and infection control standards
• Coordinate with case management and ancillary staff; facilitate patient transfers and education; float to nearby units as needed
