About The Position
Aspirus At Home is seeking a Registered Nurse or LPN for its Wausau, Wisconsin home health team. The role provides nursing care in clients’ homes and bridges the gap between higher levels of care in hospitals, nursing facilities, and rehabilitation facilities and care at home. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period), works day shift, and includes every sixth weekend. Pay is hourly rather than per visit, and mileage is reimbursed. Registered Nurses may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, incorporating evidence-based practice. The role also contributes to continuous improvement in nursing care quality through collecting and analyzing data. Aspirus At Home is a nonprofit, Medicare-certified home health agency serving northern and central Wisconsin, northeastern Minnesota, and parts of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Aspirus has provided home-based support for 60 years to help people remain in their homes as long as possible.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN nursing license.
- Current BLS certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
- Automobile liability insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000/$300,000, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability.
- Maintain specialty certification as required by the department’s scope of service.
- Current ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification may be required based on the primary department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Specialty certification desired.
- Ideally, at least three years of RN practice in a comparative setting.
