About The Position

This is a temporary travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing as an OR Circulator in Clearlake, CA. The role involves providing intraoperative nursing care within a surgical environment. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 08/31/2026. The position offers a 4x10-hour day shift schedule.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in California
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN), with eligibility to practice in California
Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and vigilance for patient safety in perioperative care

Nice To Haves

Experience as an OR Circulator or in an operating room setting preferred
Ability to work 4x10-hour day shifts in a fast-paced OR environment

Responsibilities

Provide intraoperative nursing care as the OR Circulator, supporting the surgical team during procedures.
Maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation, equipment readiness, and positioning to ensure patient safety.
Monitor patient status throughout the case, communicate with the surgical team, and document intraoperative events and decisions per protocol.
Assist with counts, specimen labeling, and supplies, and support perioperative workflow and turnover between cases.
Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical staff while respecting scopes of practice and institutional policies; adapt to evolving intraoperative needs.
