About The Position

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start on 09/14/2026 for 17 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,266 to $2,349. No guaranteed hours. Rotating 12-hour shifts (D/E/N) with on-call/callback, floating, and holidays/weekends coverage as needed. Work in a hospital OR supporting a broad surgical program including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, orthopedic, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma; there are two DaVinci robotic systems used across services. The transplant program involves livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Requirements

Active New York RN license
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Two (2) years operating room experience
Able to scrub and circulate

Nice To Haves

Level 1 trauma hospital experience highly desired
Telemetry experience highly desired; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical cases across multiple specialties, ensuring sterility and instrument count accuracy
Prepare the OR, manage equipment, and assist anesthesia while maintaining patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with multi-service teams, including transplant services, for complex cases
Support robotic-assisted procedures using DaVinci systems as appropriate for case types
Monitor patient status intraoperatively, assist with patient positioning, and facilitate accurate documentation and specimen handling
Facilitate efficient OR turnover and contribute to successful handoffs to postoperative care
