About The Position

This is an 8-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves providing direct patient care, administering medications and treatments, performing advanced nursing procedures, documenting patient status, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The position requires adherence to patient safety and infection control standards. The assignment begins on 08/08/2026, with shifts of three 12-hour daytime days per week. Weekly pay is estimated between $880 and $940, with no guaranteed hours provided. Healthforce Healthcare LLC provides assignment support for travel logistics, scheduling, and ongoing coordination throughout the contract.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (state of New Mexico or multi-state compact license) or eligibility.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work a 3x12-hour daytime shift schedule.
• Willingness to commit to an 8-week travel assignment starting 08/08/2026.
• Eligible to work in the United States and meet travel assignment requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or familiarity with long-term acute care settings (LTAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to LTAC patients, including routine assessments and monitoring.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor responses, and report changes to the care team.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other advanced nursing procedures as ordered.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record; ensure timely handoffs between shifts.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; respond to clinical changes and emergencies as needed.
