About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) position for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The assignment is for an eight-week duration, starting on 08/11/2026. The role involves delivering long-term acute care in a skilled nursing facility setting. The pay rate is estimated between $882-$931 per week, with 0 guaranteed hours. The shift is 3x12 nights.

Requirements

Active RN license to practice in New Mexico (or valid multi-state licensure).
BLS certification required.
Ability to work nights on a 3x12-hour shift schedule; flexibility to adapt as needed.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary LTAC environment.

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification preferred.
LTAC or acute care experience recommended.
Travel nursing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for LTAC patients, including vital signs monitoring, administration of medications, IV therapy as ordered, wound care, and other duties within scope.
Conduct ongoing patient assessments, document findings in the medical record, and promptly report significant changes to the care team.
Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; implement plans and evaluate patient outcomes.
Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and pharmacy guidelines; ensure safety, infection control, and patient privacy.
Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and case managers to support rehabilitation goals, discharge planning, and family education.
Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to regulatory requirements, and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
