About The Position

This is a travel assignment in perioperative care located in Calais, Maine. The role involves working in a surgical services environment, providing safe, patient-family centered perioperative care. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 08/28/2026. Weekly pay is estimated between $2,248 - $2,295 per week, with no guaranteed hours. The shift is Days, 40 hours per week. There are opportunities for continuation based on performance.

Requirements

Current registered nurse licensure in Maine
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for all full-time/part-time employees in PACU (may obtain within 6 months of hire)
At least 1 year of medical/surgical or perioperative experience
Basic computer skills
Ability to function effectively in a perioperative setting and to scrub, circulate, and work in recovery as needed

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
Scrub, circulate, and provide recovery room support as needed to support the perioperative team
Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team; advocate for patient and family needs
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values
Document patient status and interventions accurately; ensure patient safety and sterile technique throughout procedures
Assist with instrument counts, room setup, and turnover to support efficient operations
