About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative care at the Atrius Health Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role supports SCA Health’s mission, vision, and values and contributes to patient-centered specialty care. The nurse assesses patients throughout the perioperative episode, develops individualized perioperative plans of care, and works with a multidisciplinary team to plan patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
- Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
- Complete an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current ACLS certification.
- Complete a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current PALS certification when pediatric care is included in the facility’s scope of services.
Nice To Haves
- One year of operating room and/or medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
- Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
- Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
- Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
