About The Position

Tapestry Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Registered Nurse On-Call to provide holistic, skilled nursing care to hospice patients and their families outside normal business hours. The nurse supports patients with dignity and helps families navigate critical moments with confidence and compassion, working as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, CNAs, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. The schedule follows a seven-days-on, seven-days-off rotation.

Requirements

• Active Georgia Registered Nurse license.
• Ability to work a seven-days-on, seven-days-off rotation.
• Strong clinical assessment and time-management skills.
• Comfort performing admissions and pronouncements.
• Passion for patient-centered, compassionate care.
• Ability to work independently while remaining connected to the team.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice case management experience.
• Critical Care, Surgery, or Oncology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate closely with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Perform admissions, follow-up visits, and patient pronouncements.
• Manage pain and symptoms.
• Educate patients and families and evaluate outcomes.
• Offer compassionate support to families at the time of death.
• Maintain high standards of clinical competence and professionalism.
