About The Position

Tapestry Hospice & Palliative Care is a family-owned and operated hospice provider serving patients and families across North Georgia. The Registered Nurse On-Call provides holistic, skilled nursing care to hospice patients and their families outside normal business hours. The role supports patients with dignity and helps loved ones navigate critical moments with confidence and compassion, working alongside an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. The position follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.

Requirements

• Active Georgia Registered Nurse license.
• Ability to work a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
• Strong clinical assessment and time-management skills.
• Comfort performing admissions and pronouncements.
• Passion for patient-centered, compassionate care.
• Ability to work independently while remaining connected to the team.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice case management experience.
• Critical Care, Surgery, or Oncology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate closely with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Perform admissions, follow-up visits, and patient pronouncements.
• Manage pain and symptoms.
• Educate patients and families and evaluate outcomes.
• Offer compassionate support to families at the time of death.
• Maintain high standards of clinical competence and professionalism.
