About The Position

The Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse provides hospice patient care after hours and on weekends, as patient needs arise. The role helps patients spend meaningful time with loved ones and continue activities they enjoy, while building trusting, compassionate relationships with patients and families. The nurse educates caregivers on caring for their loved ones and supports patients and families in maintaining comfort and coping during after-hours emergencies. Scheduling is flexible to meet agency staffing needs; typical schedules may include weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on followed by seven days off.

Requirements

• RN license in the state where the nurse works.
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Current driver's license.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.
• Flexibility to meet agency staffing needs.
