Registered Nurse NICU
About The Position
This role involves delivering advanced, direct nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in alignment with established NICU policies and clinical protocols. The nurse will track, document, and communicate subtle changes in neonatal condition, vital signs, and development to physicians and the care team. They will also serve as the primary coordinator across neonatologists, specialists, and therapies to carry out complex medical orders and optimize clinical outcomes. Additionally, the nurse will assess post-acute needs and partner with families and the care team to prepare safe, comprehensive discharge plans for delicate infants.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
- At least one year of NICU RN experience
Nice To Haves
- Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
