About The Position

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Delaware’s only Level IV NICU. The unit provides lifesaving care for the region’s most fragile newborns, including infants with complex medical and surgical needs and those requiring ECMO support.

The NICU cares for up to 46 critically ill infants and is part of a rapidly growing neonatology program. It offers full-spectrum medical and surgical management across respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, gastrointestinal, and metabolic systems. Integrated with the Advanced Delivery Program, the NICU provides immediate, comprehensive care for babies with known congenital conditions.

Requirements

• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Current Delaware or Multistate Compact RN license.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptability and comfort working in fast-paced, unpredictable environments.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Level III or Level IV NICU experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to critically ill newborns in a Level IV NICU.
• Support infants with complex medical and surgical needs, including those requiring ECMO support.
