About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent Level 4 NICU experience, or strong Level 3 surgical experience from a NICU that performs surgeries on newborns. The role involves providing care in a teaching facility recognized for its excellence, including being named one of the Top 10 Best Children's Hospitals in the Nation by U.S News & World Report, Magnet Recognized, and Beacon Award Excellence. The nurse will be expected to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities and between units such as PICU & CVICU, and NICU satellite campuses. Charting is done via Epic. Free traveler parking is available.

Requirements

CA License
2 years of recent Level 4 NICU experience
Or Level 3 RN with STRONG surgical experience from a Level 3 NICU that performs surgeries on newborns
BLS
Advanced NRP
Must have own transportation
Cardiac experience
Experience in Oscillator, conventional ventilator, CPAP, Nasal Cannula specialty gases, PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC UVC PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-Tubes.
Comfortable with line changes that have multiple drips, pre and post op care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the NICU.
Care for patients requiring Oscillator, conventional ventilator, CPAP, Nasal Cannula specialty gases, PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC UVC PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-Tubes.
Perform line changes with multiple drips.
Provide pre and post-operative care.
Float between units (PICU & CVICU) and NICU satellite campuses as needed.
Work weekends and holidays as required.
Float within scope to meet facility needs.
Float to sister facilities.
