About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located in Lodi, California. The role is within a short-term acute care hospital setting and involves providing coordinated nursing care for neonatal patients in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a BSN and an active RN license in California.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
Minimum two years of recent RN experience in a clinical setting
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor; per policy, BLS is required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
Education: BSN preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Ability to work in a high-acuity NICU environment and adapt to unit needs, including occasional cross-unit coverage

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or patient group in the NICU using the nursing process and established standards.
Monitor neonates, administer medications, perform assessments, and respond to clinical changes with critical thinking and professional judgment.
Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with families to support infant health and safety.
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately and ensure a safe, healing environment.
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care; provide patient and family education and support throughout the treatment process.
May float to postpartum areas and provide NICU coverage as needed, including NRP-certified support when required.
