About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. This is a 13-week assignment with a shift of 3x12s. The nurse will be expected to float to other MS/Tele units as needed. Weekend and holiday requirements apply. Recent experience within the past year is required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within the past year) in MS/Tele.
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Experience with Peripheral Line Care/Management.
• Experience with Nasal Cannula and Oxygen administration.
• Experience with Oxygen tanks.
• Experience with non-invasive airway management.
• Experience with Isolation precaution.
• Valid NY State License (or application submitted with submission date).
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Perform peripheral line care and management.
• Administer oxygen via nasal cannula and oxygen tanks.
• Manage non-invasive airways.
• Adhere to isolation precautions.
• Float to other MS/Tele units as needed.
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
