About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The position requires a 26-week commitment. The unit operates on a 3x12 hour shift schedule, with nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holiday rotation. Nurses will be required to work Charge RN shifts as needed and may be floated to other units. All travelers are subject to floating across all Cone Health facilities if needed. The role involves using Rapid Response teams, administering blood products, managing peripheral lines, starting IVs, and administering medications such as Heparin, Insulin, and PCA. Experience with Nasal Cannula, Isolation precautions, and EKG interpretation is necessary. EPIC is the required EMR system, and nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:6. Travelers must pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
