About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical ICU (MICU) at CoxHealth South. This part-time, day shift position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and grow professionally. The role involves direct and individualized care in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. Nurses will assess patient conditions, perform diagnostic tests, initiate treatments, assist with medical procedures, and monitor specialized equipment. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
RN license active in the state of Missouri
BLS must be obtained within 90 days
ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
Exhibits valuable time management skills
Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Previous nursing experience

Responsibilities

Provides direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients.
Assesses the patient’s condition.
Performs diagnostic tests.
Begins treatments.
Assists doctors with any required medical procedures.
Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment.
Interprets and records electronic displays (e.g., intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings).
