About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with a Weekend Option and Full-Time Day Shift schedule. This role is based in Springfield, Missouri. The critical care nurse provides direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. They assess patient conditions, perform diagnostic tests, initiate treatments, and assist physicians with medical procedures. The nurse monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interpreting and recording electronic displays such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, and ventilator settings. The position offers opportunities for professional growth through in-hospital credentialing classes, a pay-it-forward program for certification exams, and eligibility for a clinical ladder bonus of up to $5,000 yearly. Additional compensation includes $1.00 for certification pay and $1.00 for BSN pay.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
RN license active in the state of Missouri.
BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire.
