About The Position

Baystate Health is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for the S1400 medical telemetry unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. S1400 is a 24-bed acute care nursing unit serving medical patients who may or may not require telemetry monitoring. The unit cares for patients ages 20 through geriatric with a wide range of needs, including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, psychiatric conditions, sepsis and other advanced infections, falls and syncope, palliative and hospice care, stroke, COVID-19, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and acute coronary syndrome. Staff also monitor and care for patients in observation or outpatient extended-stay status.

This is a part-time night-shift position, scheduled 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., every other weekend and every other holiday. The role requires at least one year of RN experience, Massachusetts RN licensure, and current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification. An ADN is required; a BSN is preferred.

Requirements

• Successfully pass the Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and hold a Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification is required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience is required.
• ADN or Diploma in Nursing is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
